Yvonne studied oboe with Jan Spronk and Pauline Oostenrijk at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she obtained her soloist diploma in 1999.
She also took conducting lessons from Jan Stulen.
During and after her studies she played with various Dutch professional orchestras. She is the business manager of Philharmonia Amsterdam, where she also plays the oboe. She also plays in the wind quintet Cinco Ventos

In addition to her work as a performing musician, she is an oboe teacher at Het Muziekplein in Ede.

As a conductor she is responsible for the Chamber Orchestra De Muziekkring in Laren, the Amstelveen Chamber Orchestra, the Amstelveen Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Opus 55 in Ede and Symfonic Seniors in The Hague.
